Law Seminar: Building Stronger Communities

Three Board Members, along with 1600 other Community Association Board Members, attended the 2009 Community Association Law Seminar given by Weissman, Nowack, Curry, and Wilco, P.C. at the Gwinnett Convention Center on 21 February, 2009.  As usual, the event was well run, very informative, and included a trade show as well.  Vendors displayed everything from security services to management software.  Subjects included board member training, covenant enforcement, legal issues, collections, contracts, documents, and green initiatives.  Representing SCA were Glenn Cogar, Marie Mathias, and Bob Rominger,… shown here with George Nowack.

Meeting Places

The Board of Directors usually meets at the Jameson Inn.  Manager Robby Patterson has graciously allowed the Board to use the Inn’s conference room for the monthly board meetings. The facility is quite nice and really adds to the effectiveness of the meetings. Maybe we should have morning meetings,.. we could take advantage of the splendid continental breakfast!! The Jameson Inn, an Association member in good standing, offers all kinds of amenities for those fortunate enough to enjoy a visit there,..even those taking advantage of the Inn’s $59 introductory rate.
